The story:

For me, trusting in the process will always be found in my ability to fall back on the little things. While everything is uncertain and nothing feels steady, sometimes those little things are all you're left with.

I'm the type of person who craves control and certainty, and I keep being shown that there is only so much that I could lean on fully. I keep being shown that change and discomfort and adjustments are just this ongoing part of this life. So in order to trust in the process and believe that things will work out, I find that I need to fill my own cup with small joys that I could always lean into no matter what happens.

A morning cup of tea and a phone call to a friend. Neighborhood walks and a solid playlist. Time spent writing in a journal.

When I focus more on these small, but constant rhythms that keep me whole. It begins to feel less out of reach to find trust in the process. Instead of needing to somehow believe that things will magically work out, it becomes more about trusting in my own ability to cope and adjust and be okay no matter what comes up.
