It's Normal to Walk on Clouds

The story:

One of the many pieces of advice my childhood doctor gave to me was to always, always try to walk barefoot on the house. I remember how he used to tell me that "big girl's shoes" can do bad to your foot arch, and the best way to prevent it was walking barefoot.

I grew up and found out that walking barefoot wasn't so appreciated and accepted as when I was younger. Many people around me (mostly when I was at my boyfriend's) told me to "wear sneakers or at least slippers" because walking barefoot was "not appropriate".

I found myself remembering my doctor's advice quite a lot these months of isolation, since walking with sock is my new normal. No high heels, no uncomfortable but pretty shoes, nothing but your foot, a nice pair of socks and the floor. The best of this is that walking barefoot has slowly turned into something completely normal and cool. My slippers are out of work and my feet are happier than ever.

I see myself walking barefoot inside my home from now and forever. It's a nice, good habit to incorporate not just for fun, but for health reasons. There's nothing better than taking off your heels after a long working day and walking barefoot. It's like walking on clouds, and now it's normal.

Look out for more of her work every month!
