The story:

My process of deciding whether to say yes to a new project always begins with turning inwards. I’ve always been someone who craves purpose in any work I do. Doing a lot of digging to get to know and clarify my values. That knowledge as well as prioritizing caring for my energy and my mental space is what leads to this internal knowing when wondering what to say yes to. And how to take it on. In contrast to the romanticized notion of busy-ness which pushes to always hustle. It’s always remembering to take a step back and ask, will this add as much as it takes?
